Public Access Court Electronic Records (PACER) Login
IMPORTANT NOTICE OF RESTRICTING PUBLIC ACCESS TO DOCUMENTS FILED PRIOR TO DECEMBER 1, 2003:
Documents may be viewed only by case participants for cases filed prior to December 1, 2003, and closed for more than a year. Case participants with CM/ECF access may view these documents at any time. Case participants without access to CM/ECF may view case information at one of the public computer terminals at any of the divisional offices in the Central District of California. In the alternative, copies of documents may be mailed to case participants at a charge of 50 cents per page.
If the document is not available in CM/ECF it must be requested from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) in Riverside, CA by fax, email, United States Postal Service, or online by clicking here. When requesting files from NARA the case information must be provided which includes the case number, transfer number, box number, and location number. These cases are available on the PACER (Public Access to Court Records) website. PACER has training documents which provide instructions on how to use the website to retrieve court records. You may receive same day access by accessing PACER using the link above.
