2072-1: Notice to Other Courts: THAT BANKRUPTCY CASE WAS FILED
LBR 2072-1 requires that when a debtor is involved in a proceeding in another court, the debtor must provide that court and the presiding judge from that court with a notice that a bankruptcy petition is filed.
- The notice must be delivered to that court and presiding judge as soon as possible after the bankruptcy petition is filed.
- The court does not offer a form notice.
- It is not necessary to file the notice with the bankruptcy court, but it is permitted. If the debtor files the notice with the bankruptcy court, a proof of service must be attached. See link below.
