2091-1(b): Attorneys: SUBSTITUTION OF COUNSEL: Consensual
LBR 2091-1(b) provides the procedures to follow when a new attorney will represent a client, and this new representation is consented to by the client. This process is called "Consensual Substitution of Counsel."
- A new attorney may replace the current attorney.
- A new attorney may now represent a client who previously was a self-represented party.
The court has a form substitution of attorney. See link below.
A motion is not required. A hearing is not required.
